She previously admitted to wearing a wig in recent months to hide her newly lightened locks.

And Billie Eilish opened up some more about her covert hair-coloring experience on Saturday when she put on a Q&A for fans in her Insta Stories.

The 19-year-old singer–songwriter said she had to keep the new hairdo under wraps because it had to be lightened gradually over six weeks to accomplish the perfect platinum blond hue.

One fan asked Billie why she had been hiding her hair for so long, and she replied, 'Cause it took six weeks to accomplish... this was the first round.'

Although wearing wigs to hide her hair was likely an annoyance, taking it slow proved to be the best option for her hair's health, as she gushed about how thick it looked after a fan asked if it had been 'damaged' from the 'bleaching process.'

'Honestly so healthy and I wasn't expecting that at all,' she wrote to accompany a photo of her platinum tresses.

'It's actually healthier than it's been in a longggggggg time,' she added.

The photo showed her outdoors and wearing a mask as she looked down to show off her hair and bangs.

The healthy hair was so voluminous that it almost looked like a wig because her scalp was barely visible.

Last month, Billie's hairstylist Lisa Renn wrote on social media that she had been taking her time lightening her client's hair, which was then a deep shade of black.

Last month, Billie's hairstylist Lisa Renn wrote on social media that she had been taking her time lightening her client's hair, which was then a deep shade of black.

'The process is real when you're doing it right. 6 weeks to get all the black of of her ends without damaging it, along with her following my strict haircare regime. We actually loved all the stages of lifting the color too but the end result is [fire emoji],' she wrote via People.

One fan asked if it was 'true' that Billie had worn a wig at the Grammys, and she confirmed it by sharing a photo of herself with said wig.

She also posted the last photo she had with her original black-and-slime-green hair, which dated back to January 15.

The Bad Guy singer continued her blond ambition tour earlier on Friday, when she revealed a striking 1960s-inspired haircut.

She posted a short clip to Instagram showing off her newly shorn shoulder-length platinum locks.

In addition to displaying the new trim, she also shared her stylish new eye-skimming bangs.

Billie's video simply showed the pop wunderkind strutting toward the camera while displaying her standard blank face.

She was swallowed up under a blue-and-white seersucker shirt that was buttoned all the way up to her neck.

The otherwise modest shirt was enlivened with some peaceful images of doves flapping their wings.

Her new platinum tresses were cut so that they rested delicately on her shoulders, with some extra hair cascading down her back.

But the real stars of her new look were her bangs, which she had cut so that they reached down just to her eyelashes in wispy strand.

The delicate strands fanned out across her forehead and emphasized her sleepy eyes.

She let the clip do all the talking and simply captioned it with a dove emoji to match her shirt.

Around the same time, Billie posted a closeup selfie emphasizing her lightened locks in her Instagram Stories.

It may have been the start of the weekend, but she looked as if she had a serious case of the Mondays with her dour expression, which was partially hidden behind a white surgical mask.

She also wore an olive-colored sweatshirt and delicate gold chains.

The snap appeared to have been taken before her newest hair cut, as her bangs appeared thicker and longer.

The Bad Guy singer's newest post comes more than two weeks after she caused an internet sensation by debuting her platinum locks.

The first photo she shared with her blond-dyed hair on March 17 became one of the top 10 most-liked images on Instagram and currently boasts an astounding 22 million likes.

'Pinch me,' she captioned it, which is also what plenty of her fans were likely saying after she switched out her black-and-green hair, which she had rocked almost continuously since the summer of 2019.

She debuted the look to her TikTok followers and showed off part of her extensive salon visit to lighten her hair.

The end result was her voluminous pinup-style locks.
