So it was a surprise to see Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt make a low-key appearance at the Gersh pre-Oscars bash in LA's Chateau Marmont Hotel on Thursday.
The 54-year-old actor attended the star-studded bash with his manager ahead of the biggest night in the awards show calendar on Sunday.
Oscar-winning producer Brad looked at ease as he posed inside the party hosted by the Gersh Talent Agency, sharing a laugh with some of the guests as he posed with manager Cynthia Pett-Dante.
The legendary star sported a casual coat, scarf and hat combo as he posed inside the party following months of speculation about his relationship with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
The rumour mill kicked into overdrive following Jennifer's split from husband Justin Theroux last month, with sources hinting that Brad and Jennifer have remained in touch 13 years after their divorce.
Entertainment Tonight presenter Nancy O'Dell told The Mirror: 'They have each other's numbers and communicate from time to time. Jen and Brad have remained friendly.'
Another source told the publication: 'Jen and Brad have remained close since their 2005 split, but she has leaned on him more over the past 15 months.'
While Brad has not commented on the rumours, Jennifer's publicist stated claims that Brad was the actress's 'shoulder to cry on' was 'another fabrication'.
The appearance also came just a day after Brad's next big film role was confirmed, playing stunt double Rick Booth in Quentin Taratino's Charles Manson biopic Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, set for release in August 2019.
