Dubai has made it into yet another Hollywood film, and who could blame the filmmakers? The city makes an intriguing backdrop for both action and futuristic movies.
After making a prominent appearance in Hollywood blockbusters Mission: Impossible and Star Trek Beyond, Dubai is now featuring in Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett's upcoming documentary film "Voyage of Time."
The incredible "Voyage of Time" has been in the making for 40 years, which is a fair amount of time when your focus subject is human evolution and advancement in science since the beginning of time.
Oscar-nominated director Terrence Malick directed the docu-film, and you can expect nothing less than an extraordinary production from one of American cinema’s most acclaimed and visually exciting filmmakers.
The actors don't make a physical appearance in the film, but lend their voices to narrate the production, which is described as "a celebration of the earth, displaying the whole of time, from the birth of the universe to its final collapse," by Wild Bunch, who goes on to say, "This film examines all that went to prepare the miracle that stands before us now. Science and spirit, birth and death, the grand cosmos and the minute life systems of our planet — all come together in Malick’s most ambitious film to date."
"Voyage of Time" is set to exclusively screen in IMAX theaters on 7 October, 2016 in two versions: The first, narrated by Brad Pitt, will be a 40-minute IMAX version, while the second will be a 90-minute feature-length edition narrated by Cate Blanchett.
