Was Sherine's shocking announcement this morning a publicity stunt or has she really just QUIT showbusiness?
The Egyptian singer-actress sent a voicenote to journalist Rabih Henedi asking him to announce to her millions of fans and colleagues in Arab celebville that she will be making music no more.
But it isn't just the recording studio that Sherine will be steering clear of; the diva says in her voicenote that she is quitting showbiz in all its forms, including acting, magazine photo shoots and anything else that would put her face in the news.
Henedi made the announcement on Instagram, posting two videos of Sherine's voicenote, where she firmly says that she has made a "final decision to call it quits," adding that she, under no circumstances, will be going back on her decision.
But why was Henedi entrusted with this momentous mission? Sherine specified in her voicenote that she trusts Henedi more than anyone else in the industry.
While the faithful journalist took it in his stride to make the sad news public, he urged Sherine's fans to fight her decision using the hashtag #Sherine_we_reject_your_decision.
This is totally heartbreaking for anyone who's a fan of Sherine. Will her kids be the only listening ears to her spectacular singing voice from now on?
