Who knew the power of a bra strap? Certainly not Egyptian news broadcaster Buthaina Kamel, who was suspended from her role after her strap made a sneak peek on the evening news!
The controversial news anchor was suspended a few weeks earlier for wearing "inappropriate" outfits during filming hours, said Safa Hijazi, head of the news department at Egypt One TV, and was suspended once again after her bra strap made an appearance!
Are they for real?!
The story gets funnier. Elaph news reports that Safa is currently investigating whether Buthaina had intentionally let her strap slip while reading the 5 o'clock news.
As for the suspension weeks before, it's to blame on Buthaina's decision to wear her own "improper" wardrobe instead of the clothes provided by the network for her.
A defensive Buthaina considered this a personal attack on her and vowed to take the matter to court, stressing that she's being targeted by the network which "makes a big deal out of nothing," such as a bra strap accidently slipping.
