Cairo Jazz Festival: where cool cats catch the beat

The Cairo Jazz Festival, founded by musician Amr Salah, is back in its 7th year with a lineup of international bands and musicians, and is taking place between 15-18 October at the Greek Campus in downtown.

All main events take place at downtown's Greek Campus, which has two stages; the outdoor main stage and the indoor Vibe Jam Stage, located inside the library building.

The festival also has the Afterhours Programme, also called the Beyond Stage programme, taking place in parallel with the festival and held at two separate venues, the Cairo Jazz Club and Room Art Space.

Thursday 15 October
Outdoor stage:
7:00pm: Makiko Hirabayashi Trio (Japan)

10:30pm: The Riff Band (Egypt)

Indoor stage:
