It appears Cardi B's catchphrase may not be so special after all.
The Bodak Yellow artist tried to catchphrase 'okurrr' back in March, to be used mostly for merchandise.
But government officials have officially rejected her application to lay claim to the word, which is popularly pronounced with the Rs rolled.
She explained the sound to Jimmy Fallon last year: 'You know, it's like a cold pigeon in New York City.'
The 26-year-old artist also submitted an application to try to include the commonly misspelled 'okurr.'
Unfortunately, the US Patent and Trademark ruled that the slogan fell under the category of 'widely-used commonplace expressions.'
It's a valid argument, given that it the phrase has existed in minority communities for years.
They also explained that it 'is a slogan or term that does not function as a trademark or service mark to indicate the source of applicant’s goods and/or services.'
The term has certainly become a part of the recent BET Best Female Hip-Hop Artist's brand.
She infamously set off an 'okurrr' domino effect in this year's Pepsi Superbowl commercial.
The ad also featured some of those cold pigeons she mentioned.
It's not the most ridiculous word a celeb has tried to trademark, with Kim Kardashian West recently attempting to trademark the word 'kimono' for her new shapewear line.
In 2016, her little sis Kylie Jenner tried to trademark her own first name for Kylie Cosmetics, which was blocked by Australian pop sensation Kylie Minogue.
Minogue recently launched her own cosmetics line through the URL Kylie.com.
