Lebanese singer Carol Samaha has completed filming the new music video for the song “Wa Ta’awadet” (I’ve gotten used to it). The clip was directed by French director Terry Fern. Once Carol finished the clip, negative criticism began attacking her, even before it has been aired.
According to the London based Elaph, in the video clip, Carol was accused of imitating Lebanese singer Mariam Fares’s clip “Ayam Al Shita” (Rainy days), especially since it was also filmed in Paris. Critics claimed that both clips are very similar starting from filming location to the theme. It was added that even the dress style was very similar with a scarf tied around the neck.
Carol’s clip will begin airing exclusively on the music channel Rotana then will be distributed to other channels.
The song is written and composed by Saleem Assaf and musically distributed by Rogea Khoury.
