Lebanese singer Carol Samaha has for the first time reached the number one spot on the popular show "Voda Phone Top Ten" on the Arabic music satellite channel Mazzika. Samaha is the first singer to defeat Egyptian singers Amr Diab and Mustafa Amar for the first spot since its fourteen weeks of broadcasting.

According to the London based Elaph, Carol also marks the first time a female singer accumulates the highest percentage of viewer votes, which reaches over 2000 every week. The latest music video "Italaa' Fieh" (Look at Me) by Carol has witnessed enormous success. The song is broadcasted at least four times a day on most Egyptian music channels.

Carol recently visited Egypt and filmed an episode for the satellite television channel Dream. The channel still airs sections of the interview four weeks after its filming date, due to the large amount of requests by viewers. It was revealed that Carol was to film a new music video for Dream TV, but nothing has come of it until this date. –Albawaba.com
