The Court for Immediate Matters in Cairo has postponed the trial date for the lawsuit against Egyptian singer Ruby by composer Ahmad Al Jabali until November 29. The court made its decision due to the fact that Ruby was not informed of the hearing and so delayed the date until she was officially notified.

Al Jabali had demanded 5 million Egyptian pounds in compensation from the singer stressing that she had signed a contract with him in 1997 giving him full rights to all her entertainment activities, and making any other contract signed since that period invalid.

The contract has been automatically extended for five years, based on a condition in the contract that states an extension for five years will be made unless one of the two parties states otherwise. Neither Ruby nor Ahmad had requested otherwise and so the extension occurred giving Ahmad rights to Ruby’s activities until the year 2009.

Ruby was asked if there is anyone she loves in her life and she simply said "I don’t want to answer! The singer also stressed that her dancing in her videos are not intentional but rather due to the mere fact that when the music begins, her body begins to moves unconsciously.

After an absence from the scenes and tabloids that lasted for a few months, Egyptian controversial singer Ruby has reappeared after she was nominated for the leading role in the upcoming film “Dala’ Al Banat” (Spoiled Girls) alongside famous Egyptian bodybuilder champion Al Shahat Mabrouk and Olympic golden medal winner Karam Jaber.

On a different note, Ruby is to play the role of a very attractive aerobics instructor that works with a young athletic champion trying to help him win the bodybuilding medal. Throughout the course of the film, the young athlete falls for his instructor and a very heated love affair begins.

Ruby will be performing a number of songs throughout the film and it has been revealed that she has been offered a very high wage for her role. It is not understood why the singer has been offered such a high wage despite the fact that it is only her second film and her first did not mark any significant success. –Albawaba.com
