From yearning ballads by James Arthur to Sepultura’s fiery tracks, and even some Russian superstars in the mix, here are the top artists taking centre stage in Dubai this month.
Beach bash with James Arthur
Smooth, soulful and deeply nostalgic, James Arthur claimed his space in the music industry from day one. After winning The X Factor in 2012, the English singer released his chart-topping debut, ‘Impossible’, setting the mark for all tracks to follow. The acoustic crooner, behind hits like ‘Say You Won’t Let Go,’ and ‘Empty Space’, is bringing his trusty guitar and radio-favourite tracks to Zero Gravity for a beachside singalong to remember.

Dance date with Solomun
Croatia’s Solomun is no high school dance DJ. This superstar music producer is a major player in European deep house with enough awards to prove it. He creates smooth, entrancing mixes with scattered beats and rousing drops that translate into swaying and dancing. Get trapped in his hypnotic rhythms as he takes over the DJ decks of Soho Beach, a trendy nightlife and pool lounge in Meydan.

With the enduring popularity of ‘Careless Whisper’, George Michael may just be the king of sultry, romantic ballads. Celebrate the great career and discography of this English treasure at Fastlove, a George Michael tribute concert that has been selling out shows around the world

Pop anthems with John Newman
John Newman’s name came under the spotlight when his 2013 single ‘Love Me Again’ took over radio stations around the world. The song, built on catchy pop lyrics and intensely dance-heavy rhythms, set the pace for much of his subsequent hits including ‘Come and Get It’ and ‘Losing Sleep’. Dance the night away by the sea to Newman’s infectious melodies at Zero Gravity, just one week after James Arthur.

Rock out with Sepultura
Brazil might not be everyone’s first guess as an incubator for metal brilliance but with Sepultura’s tenacious creativity, the country has made it on the genre’s map. Their show at the Hard Rock Café marks Sepultura’s first performance in the Middle East, making this show one for the heavy metal books.
