Demi Lovato showed off her strength, both inside and out, in a hopeful Instagram Tuesday.
And on Wednesday fellow star Christina Aguilera reached out to share her love for the Sorry, Not Sorry singer, who recently came home from rehab following a near-fatal overdose four-months-ago.
The Liberation songstress was full of positivity, telling Demi: 'I’ve missed you so very much' under an image of the singer donning her jiu jitsu gi.
Sharing positivity! Christina Aguilera sent love and positive vibes to Demi Lovato in comments on an optimistic Instagram the star shared Tuesday
'And we keep on tickin – till the end of time – I looooove youuuuu! Can’t wait to continue to heave [sic] you by side now,' Christina continued in a second comment.
The pair worked together on the song Fall In Line off Christina's latest album, which they have performed live together on a number of occasions.
Christina's comments came in response to Demi's most recent Instagram photo.
'Sweaty, messy jiu jitsu hair,' she shared in the caption on Tuesday, with the hashtags: '#BJJ #bluebelt #nevergiveup.'
In the selfie, the Sorry Not Sorry singer can be seen dressed in her white Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gi outfit as she gives off a look of contentment.
Being prepped for combat, she went make-up free and had her long dark tresses pulled back off of her face and in a loose ponytail.
In August of 2017, Demi shared on Instagram that she 'fell in love with #BJJ about a year ago', and that she likes to train several times a week.
'I first got into jiu-jitsu because I loved watching people grapple,' Lovato revealed in an interview with Self. 'I think it’s really cool to learn something that helps you with self-defense.'
She went on to explain that she finds MMA fighting to be meditative because she’s constantly thinking of ways to attack and defend.
Brazilian Jiu-jitsu focuses on hand-to-hand combat moves and ground work such as grappling, throwing, and pinning. It is often seen as not just a martial art, but a form of character building, as founder Carlos Gracie found that when he started as a 15 year old boy, he became more confident, tolerant and always looking to improve, as reported by Healthista.
The 26-year-old star overdosed in her Los Angeles mansion this past summer.
After spending about two weeks in a hospital, the Sober hitmaker checked into rehab for three months and has since been focused on her recovery.
From the looks of things, her martial arts training has been incorporated into her healthy routine, and her fans appear to be overjoyed at the results so far.
'I'm so glad you're feeling better' and 'Keep fighting beautiful,' seemed to be general theme in the comments of her new Instagram snap.
Others included: 'I'm so glad you're feeling better', 'You are doing amazing' and 'Good to see you back in it!'
