A celebrated soprano, Maria Callas was one of the most influential opera icons of the 20th century. Her vocal range, technique and power were unparalleled, and continue to set a standard in the genre. Now, 40 years since her death, fans can hear Callas’ story from the late singer herself. The feature film “Maria by Callas: In Her Own Words” weaves together forgotten clips, unseen photographs, private live recordings and rare behind-the-scenes footage for the first time in colour. The documentary, released in 2017, shares another side of a brilliant artist and her incredible achievements.
