It's back! Coke Studio@MTV is returning for a third season. The popular show will featuer some well-known names in the industry this time around, such as Grammy Award-winner AR Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Ram Sampath, Salim-Sulaiman and Hitesh Sonik, among others.
Shridhar Subramaniam, president, Sony Music Entertainment, India and Middle-East, says: “New music has a huge fan following. This year too, the line-up is outstanding with seven leading composers curating 47 original compositions with over 100 musicians. Last year, we sold 15,000 CDs and there were over 10 million downloads in the first six months.”
Even more excitengly, season three will also witness the six winners of Leap Frog contest at Coke Studio@MTV producing one song each in the eighth multi-producer episode.
Other singers making an appearance this season include Kailash Kher and Sunidhi Chauhan, among others. If you love what you hear on the show, then music from each episode will be available the same day across all leading platforms, followed by CD release.
