Omani artist Badria Mohamed al Balloushi and her husband Hamad Obaid Rashash have been found guilty of the murder of Emirati poet and artist Ahmed Hussain Salarey.
The killers deliberately ran over Salarey following ongoing disputes between the estranged couple (Badria and Ahmed) over the custody of their daughters.
The late poet passed away on a Friday afternoon after having lunch with his mother. As Salarey got into his car to go home, Badria forcefully bumped into the rear of his car.
As Salarey got out of the car to see who had hit him, Badria's husband sped towards him and ran him over. Salarey instantly died at the scene.
Following several weeks of investigation, Badria and her husband were sentenced to death by an Omani court of law, according to Al Bayan news.
