Following a four year absence from the small screen, Egyptian actress Dalal Abudl Aziz has decided to resume career by participating in a series entitled, Asrar El Banat (Secrets of the Girls).
According to Al Masa’a newspaper, Dalal has described her role as “the portrayal of the big sister who takes care of and raises her sisters throughout college and refuses to have a life to herself. She even rejects a young man who asks for her hand in marriage and says that she would not leave her sisters before they graduate from college.”
“However, time passes her by and she finds herself a lonely woman, stuck at work fighting with her colleagues,” explains Abdul Aziz.
The series was written by Azza Shalaby and will be directed by Ahmad Ali.
Meanwhile, in the interview with the Egyptian based daily, the actress also spoke of her recent trip to Italy.
“I singned on to a new play that will begin next summer,” she said, adding that “Nour El Sharif will be co-starring with me.”
As for her reluctance to star in any Silver Screen movies, the actress said that she has refused various “un-focused” scripts, some of which co-starred some actors that she deems “untalented.”
The actress also spoke of her semi-stereotyped role of the seductress, stating that “my time has passed for such roles. Iam older now and my age does not allow it. I would like to leave ‘hot’ clothes to the younger ‘hot’ actresses.” – Albawaba.com.
