After being tagged in a post showing a pic of herself in workout gear with the message 'hey demi dm me so we can discuss a diet plan for you @ddlovato,' the Sorry Not Sorry singer responded back: 'I actually am choosing not to diet and fall back into unhealthy behaviors at the risk of losing my sanity or mental health but thank you for the offer! Super sweet.'

Thanks but no thanks: Lovato, 26, who has a well-documented history of addiction, depression and eating disorders, said she's 'choosing not to diet and fall back into unhealthy behaviors'

Lovato, 26, has a well-documented history of addiction, mental health issues and eating disorders.

She first entered rehab as an 18-year-old in 2010 and subsequently revealed she had been self-harming, suffered from bulimia and depression, and was self-medicating with drugs and alcohol.

She was diagnosed as bipolar and after leaving rehab, she stayed for an extended period in a sober-living facility in LA.

On June 21, 2018, she released the track Sober in which she revealed she had relapsed after six years of sobriety.

A month later, on July 24, she was rushed to the emergency room for a suspected overdose and spent two weeks in the hospital before returning to rehab.

Body confident: The Sorry Not Sorry singer has recently enjoyed a vacation in Bora, Bora from where she posted snaps of herself in a leopard print bikini

A week ago, she shared via her Instagram Story that she is working on a new album and hinted that the songs will explain what she has been going through the past year or so.

'You know what’s great about making an album?' she told her social media followers. 'You get to say anything you want, be as open and honest as possible and finally tell your side of the story regardless of who might not like it..'

In May, Lovato signed up with talent manager Scooter Braun whose roster inlcudes Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

After Taylor Swift slammed Braun in a scathing Tumblr post Sunday for buying her former record label Big Machine Records Group and with it her back catalog, Lovato quickly came to her new manager's defense.

'I have dealt with bad people in this industry and Scooter is not one of them,' Lovato wrote on her Instagram Story.

'Personally, I'm grateful he came into my life when he did. Please stop "dragging" people or bullying them. There's enough hate in this world as it is,' she said.
