Rebel Wilson announced via Twitter last night that she's given up on her latest dietary fad.
The 35-year-old had originally embarked on the 'I Quit Sugar' challenge on July 1, but confessed to fans that she had admitted defeat little more than three weeks in.
'I lost the NO (refined) SUGAR CHALLENGE after 20 days...had a scary taxi ride and succumbed to ice-cream and Mars Bar...but back on wagon x', she Tweeted last night.
The Australian actress , who is currently on holiday in Dubai with boyfriend Mickey Gooch, lasted for the better half of a month on the Sarah Wilson diet.
Rebel previously admitted she was keen to kick-start the increasingly popular fad.
'I'm starting a 'no sugar' challenge starting today!! I'll let you guys know how long I last for!! X' she told her fans.
During the course of the challenge, the blonde beauty has been updating her Twitter with her progress.
'NO (refined) SUGAR CHALLENGE DIARY: it's been 5 days, went to see Magic Mike, all those shiny G's made me think of skittles...resisted x,' she wrote.
And in true comedian fashion, she Tweeted a selfie in a Dubai desert, captioning it: 'No sugar today but plenty of desert x'.
The diet that has taken Hollywood by storm is an eight-week program. In the first six weeks, the diet advises cutting out all sugar, including fruit, to allow your body to recalibrate.
After these initial weeks, the diet encourages reintroducing some low-fructose fruit while monitoring your body's reaction.
Naomi Campbell, Eva Longoria, and Tom Hanks are some of the other celebrities who have embarked on the challenge.
