Dhaffer L'Abidine revealed juicy details about his personal life in an interview with Egyptian TV host Wafaa Kilani this week.

The Tunisian heartthrob, who's known for his varied roles on British, and in more recent years Arabic, TV, revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer in 2014/5.

Dhaffer received the stressful news while filming his hit Ramadan drama "Taht Al Saytara" (Under Control), which made his life "out of control" at the time!

However, luckily for the handsome fella, his doctor had actually misdiagnosed him. Dhaffer was cancer-free.

Moving on from one emotional topic to another, Dhaffer cried as he spoke about his late father. He told Wafaa that he had a great relationship with his dad, but regrets not being by his side when he died, as he was residing in London at the time.

As things got more personal, the handsome fella admitted that he's always been shy by nature, which made it difficult for him to date a lot of women, despite plenty showing a lot of interest in him, and from a young age.

Happily married to a British actress and singer, Dhaffer insisted that he didn't marry her for the British nationality, but out of love. He stressed that those rumors are untrue and he was granted the British citizenship before tying the knot because he had been living in England for over eight years at the time, which qualified him for the UK nationality.

Dhaffer and his wife have a daughter called Yasmin together, and his wife has put her career on hold and currently dedicates her time to taking care of their child.

Dhaffer was recently appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for Arts by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization in recognition of his efforts in spreading awareness to promote art and culture in the Arab world.
