Diana Haddad denies circulating rumors of her divorce

Lebanese singer Diana Haddad firmly denied recent rumors circulating of her divorce and separation from Emirati director Suhail Al Abdoul. Rumors came about after alleged financial disputes the couple had. 

 

Diana told the Egyptian weekly, Al Nujoom, for her part, she is very disturbed towards the rumors, that are affecting her personal life now saying that they hold no truth to them and are a failed attempt to defame her. She also noted that she knows who is behind them, and that they are part of a yearly attempt to try and hurt her. Haddad added that she lives in perfect harmony and happiness with her husband and their daughter Sophia.  

 

Twenty-six year old singer confirmed news circulating in October of this year about her plan to star in a new movie marking her acting debut with her husband, director Suheil Al Abdoul.  

 

Earlier this year, the idea of an acting debut had crossed Haddad's mind when Egyptian singer, Mustafa Amar, offered her a supporting role in a musical that got cancelled shortly thereafter.  

 

When asked about her future projects, the singer said that she was finally able to find a good script, which made her rethink her acting debut. She explained that shooting will start earlier next near, directed by her husband, Suheil Al Abdoul. “We have not yet chosen the actors for the movie, but I believe that the project would be a great success.”  

 

On another note, Haddad sang on October 23 to a 7000-strong audience at the University of Bahrain, on the occasion of the Bahrain's first presidential elections since 1973. Bahrain’s King Sheikh Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa attended the concert, which witnessed the participation of several ‘Khaliji’ (Gulf-Arab) singers.  

 

Born on October 1, 1976, Haddad's musical career was kicked off, in 1992 after her participation in the popular TV show Studio Al Fan, where she sang her first song entitled "Tayr Al Yamama" (The Dove). –Albawaba.com
