Lebanese artist Diana Haddad was selected by the Egyptian Organization for Cinema Critics and Writers as the best female singer of the year 2000. ArabTop.net stated the organization has connections with Egypt’s greatest stars such as Faten Hamama, Adel Imam and Yusra.

Diana was invited to Cairo to participate in the festival in which she presented a number of her new songs.

Since the launch of her career in 1996 with the release of her first album "Saken", Diana has been outstandingly successful all over the Arab world. Her second album "Amaneh" enjoyed even a greater success in 1997, and all her albums since that time have been hits in most Arab countries. Diana Haddad was one of the few artists to make it to the top after recording her very first album.

Diana has finished recently recording a song for the Palestinian Intifadah entitled "al Haq Wouktabou Men Damy" (The right written with my blood).

Currently, Diana is preparing her new album. She has chosen to work with great poets such as Ayman Bahjat Qamar, Moustafa Morsy, and Abel Menaen Taha. As for composers, Diana is working with Issam Karika, Walid Said and Mohammed Raheem. Tarek Madkour. Tarek Akef will arrange the songs for the new album – Albawaba.com
