Final court order: Dina El Sherbini thrown in jail for one year on cocaine charges

Dina El Sherbini's luck has definitely run out this time! The Egyptian actress, who was caught red-handed in the possession of drugs in Cairo last year, has now been sentenced to a year in jail by a Cairo Criminal Court judge.

The incident took place in a Zamalek (area in Cairo) apartment last Nov, when Dina was found with her friend in his apartment attempting to smuggle the Class-A drug cocaine.

Dina's friend was fined 200 thousand Egyptian pounds and given a life sentence in jail.

Meanwhile, it's rumoured that Dina's lawyer is going to file for an appeal, seeing as no evidence proves her to be this man's "partner in crime."

Not that it's any better, but Dina was only sniffing cocaine at the time of the arrest.

Needless to say, the artist has had to cancel all her career projects since this scandal came to public attention last year.

Will anyone hire her now?
