Drew Barrymore was feeling thankful for her daughters over the holiday weekend.

The 42-year-old actress reflected on her love for 5-year-old Olive and 3-year-old Frankie on Sunday after celebrating Thanksgiving with her family.

"The love of my life. Olive. Sunday. Thanksgiving weekend," Barrymore captioned a photo with Olive. "I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday. This is a very special time. And may it bring out the best in all of us. And all the spirit of family and loved ones."

"I never knew I could love so much. I never knew I would be so lucky one day to be a mom," she added. "Thank you to all our many blessings for our family. And we wish them right back to yours."

Barrymore also dedicated a post to "the other love of [her] life," Frankie.

"Side by side, holding hands. Best moments. I wish I could freeze them in time. To the old sounds of the carousel. Going round and round. These holidays can make me so nostalgic and just a big pile of mush!" she wrote.

Barrymore shares Olive and Frankie with ex-husband Will Kopelman, from whom she split in April 2016 after nearly four years of marriage. She said in an interview with The Ellen DeGeneres Show in February that she and Kopelman still have a "community" with their children.

"[Divorce] was just, like, my worst nightmare [as a parent]," the star confessed. "It really is about the tone you set."

"I got two families. I went from like, zero to two, and it's a miracle and a blessing," she said. "The road is different than what you tried to make it or what you expected and you just figure it out and figure it out with grace."
