Egyptian film producers seek Lebanese singers

Egyptian film producers are currently seeking female Lebanese singers to star in their upcoming films. Lebanese singers Alissa, Haifa Wahbi, Maya Nasri, Nancy Ajram, Pascal Mash'alani, Katia Harb, and Nicole Saba have received a number of nominations by producers and directors from Egypt. 

 

According to the Saudi based daily, Al Watan, Nicole has been chosen for the leading role in Egyptian comedian Adel Imam's new film. Nancy was nominated for the leading role with Egyptian actor Hani Ramzi in the film "Awiz Ha'ei" (I Want My Share). 

 

Director Ali Rajab has selected Maya Nasri to star in his upcoming film "Muaskar Hubb" (Love Military). Alissa was nominated by Egyptian singer Mustafa Amar to star in his upcoming film "Autograph", as well as a nomination by Hakim in his new film "Hassan Safari". Alissa had commented that she does not plan to go into acting at the moment and prefers to focus on her singing career. 

 

Haifa has declined an offer to take part in the film "Al Limbi" by director Mohammad Saed. Katia Harb was nominated by Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Saqqa for a leading role in his upcoming movie "Tito", which will be filmed next year.Katia has not given the final acceptance, saying it will be based on whether taking up any role would affect her singing career or not. -Albawaba.com
