"I am doing great", with these words Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq answered attacks against him by supporters of ousted Egyptian president Mohammad Morsi during his participation at a charitable event for one of the hospitals in Egypt. At the event, the singer walked off stage and left the scenes after security officials asked him to do so fearing that his presence would cause an outbreak of violence among those present.
According to Laha Magazine, Ehab said, "The incident passed without the occurrence of any violence and I was not hurt or injured in any way, but what happened will not change my political stance and my full support of the June 30 Revolution that overthrew Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood supporters and gave victory to the Egyptian military."
Ehab added that he will keep singing the song "Tislam Al Ayadi" (Praise the Hands) that is dedicated to the military and his country regardless of any threats he may receive.
Ehab said that his presenting the song during the charitable event angered Morsi's supporters, but he concluded the song till the end. He claimed the video released on the internet, showing him getting kicked off the stage was fabricated.
