Close sources to Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq have assured that the singer will be leaving his production company Rotana, has in fact already taken the decision, and does not intend to ever return.
The singer is currently in Tunisia and will make a guest appearance on the Tunisian radio station Music FM. Ehab is scheduled to hold his New Year’s performance in Tunisia.
A recent concert held by Tawfiq in one of the biggest shopping centers in Bahrain, gave rise to opposition from local residents.
Chaos erupted after one of the residents stopped traffic, forbidding fans to attend the concert and causing minor car accidents.
Angry residents stressed that they do not want concerts to be held in their neighborhood considering them to be against their ethics and unsuitable to their traditions. Mobs of residents held posters and slogans in opposition.
Despite the chaos the audience was packed, and eventually the protestors left the scene after their attempts to stop the concert failed.
On a different note, Ehab is preparing to shoot his new music video for the song “Hubbik Alamni” (Your Love Taught Me) under the direction of Saeed Al Marouq. The song is from Ehab’s latest album released a few months ago.
