She's still truly, madely, deeply glad she said "I do" to her hubby Carlo Ayoub last year in Cyprus, despite the rumors saying otherwise. Elaine Khalaf's spouse and business manager kissed the bride less than one year ago, but gossip has gone around suggesting the two had already split.
Carlo's father Elie Ayoub confirmed that the two are still a pair and, in fact, will soon be a trio with a baby on the way!
"They did not separate, and Elaine is pregnant, but they should separate and at the beginning of their marriage I said that their marriage will not last more than two or three years," said the Lebanese songstress' father-in-law.
Um, awkward!
According to Sayidaty.net, many assumed that Elie's statement meant there are problems between the couple, but he clarified that there are no disputes between the newlyweds.
Elie added, "I am against divorce, and I wish that Elaine and Carlo remain together, but I do not expect their marriage to last because they are very different and do not think on the same line and the age difference between them cannot be overlooked. My son is still a young good looking man always surrounded by beautiful women, and I do not know how much Elaine is capable of accepting such a fact. I Don't know, Carlo dated Elaine for three years before they got married and they lived in my home for six months, and all I know is she is very much in love with him."
Elie denied that Carlo married Elaine for her fortune and stressed that Elaine did have money at one point, but now she is broke and his son is the one who supports her financially. Elie added that Elaine is pregnant with a boy and Carlo intends on naming him Elie after his father.
