Prominent Egyptian actress Elham Shaheen is preparing to film the scenes of her upcoming film titled “Wasat Haz Al Balad” (In the center of Downtown). Filming of the first scenes is schedules to take place at the end of the upcoming month of September.
The events of the film revolve around the reality of the Egyptian street before the January 25 Revolution that overthrew the government of ousted President Husni Mubarak. It is said that the director of the film had predicted the events of the revolution, especially since the script was written in 2007. The film is written and directed by Mohammad Abu Seif.
Elham produces the film in cooperation with the Media Production Company. The film stars Elham, Abeer Sabri, Basem Samrah, Lublibah, Diya Abd Al Khaleq, Raja AL Jadawi and Abd Al Rahman Abu Zahrah.
