The famous Egyptian actress Elham Shaheen is very upset these days, because her film “Wahad Sifer” (One Zero) wasn’t nominated in the “Oscars” festival.
Neither Elham’s film nor any other Egyptian film has been nominated in the festival. Elham said that she tried searching for the reason that made her loose such an opportunity to have her film “Wahed Sifer” or any other film to be nominated.
She revealed that she is currently divided between managing the “Cairo Cinema Festival” and the “Ministry of Culture”.
According to the London daily Elaph, Elham also added that the critics and viewers have chosen her film “Wahed Sifer” to be the best film for 2009. The film had also won many awards at various international film festivals. She stated that the film is worth the chance to be presented at the “Oscars”.
