Egyptian star Elham Shahin is very busy nowadays trying to practice the “Saaedi” (southern Egyptian) accent in preparation for her upcoming role in the new TV series “Al-Qawmy”. The new episode is directed by Majdy Abu Omeira and will also star the famous Egyptian star actor Farouq al-Fishawi.

To television audiences, Elham Shahin, is the business woman in love in "Samhouni Makansh Quassdi", while for filmgoers, she is a control freak and the prostitute in the excellent film "Souk al-Motaa". But in reality, she is an actress who exudes warmth and tenderness. She smiles often, and carries herself with the grace of a superstar.

Elham emerged in the 80's as a gifted actor after a stunning role in the film "Al-Aar" and critically acclaimed performances in "La Tassallny Man Anna," "Al-Sayed Eshta" and "Ragol fi Eyoun Emrah".

Both men and women admired her character in the TV series "Layali El Helmeya," as well as "Nissf Rabei al-Akhar" alongside “Yehya al-Fakharany.” Her role in "Samhooni Makansh Quassdi," alongside Mamdouh AbdelAlim is also fondly remembered,

Her latest movie, "Souk al-Motaa," which co-stars Mahmoud Abel Aziz, proved to be a big hit – Albawaba.com
