ALBAWABA - Emily Blunt expresses her desire to use her husband John Krasinski's "Sexiest Man Alive" cover as wallpaper in their home.
During the "Office" alum's interview with the magazine, his wife quipped that if he won the title of "Sexiest Man Alive" this year, she would wallpaper their home.
"My children will love that; it won't be weird at all."
People crowned John Krasinski the "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2024, and he has revealed his wife Emily Blunt's reaction.
The actor, writer, and director, whose credits include the US version of The Office, Jack Ryan, and A Quiet Place, received the title in what has become a highly anticipated yearly event.
Krasinksi, 45, succeeded former Grey's Anatomy actor Patrick Dempsey, who won in 2023, as the most desirable man of the year. It turns out that Krasinksi was confused when he learned the news.
Speaking to people about the announcement, he stated he had an "immediate blackout" and had "zero thoughts... other than maybe I'm being punked."
He went on to say, "That is not how I wake up thinking, 'Is this the day I'll be asked to be the sexiest man alive?'" And yet, that's exactly what happened on that day. You've truly elevated the bar for me.
Krasinski also disclosed how his wife, actress Emily Blunt, with whom he has two children and has been married for 14 years, responded to the news.
Krasinski reported that there was "a lot of joy involved" in notifying Blunt, who was "very excited."
He claimed that Blunt had even joked about printing the cover and using it as wallpaper.
When the announcement first went public, Krasinski said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that Matt Damon was the first person he told outside of his family.
