ALBAWABA - Transgender American actress and model Hunter Schfar was recently arrested on Feb. 26, 2024, at a Jewish Voice for Peace protest demanding a ceasefire for the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza.
The Hunger Games and Euphoria star was seen at the protest wearing a t-shirt with a slogan demanding a ceasefire.
Euphoria's Hunter Schafer arrested at Gaza protest
According to Pink News, the protest took place at the NBC headquarters at the Rockefeller Center in New York City in hopes of disrupting the current US President Joe Biden's appearance on the Late Night with Seth Meyers talk show.
The Jewish Voice for Peace posted on its official Instagram a story where Schafer and other protesters were heard chanting: “No more weapons, no more war, ceasefire’s what we’re fighting for,” and “Joe Biden, we know you are here. You are not welcome in our city.”
A JVP person told Vulture that Hunter Schafer was arrested alongside 50 other protesters and added "We commend her commitment to Palestinian freedom and a future of justice for everyone."

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has resulted in the killing of at least 29,954 Palestinians of whom are children and women. Additionally, more than 70,000 Gazans are currently injured awaiting aid, as reported by Gaza's Ministry of Health.
Hamas announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel making it the biggest offensive by the group in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip, captured military bases, and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel while others were seen paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
