The TV presenter Doaa Salah, who presents the TV show With Dody, has been banned from presenting on TV for three months.
The Egyptian Radio and Television Union made the announcement following Salah’s segment on “single mothers,” a phenomenon in Egypt where women pay surrogate fathers money to, well, have babies.
Why? The segment—entitled “Buy a Father”—had Salah appear with a fake baby bump.
Salah defended herself by saying she’d brought-in a sheikh to discuss the validity of the single mother “phenomenon” on TV.
The Egyptian Radio and Television Union’s followed public outcry, from members of the public who were “shocked” that single motherhood was being discussed, stating that Salah had violated “public and social norms.”
Because of their failure to realise that single mothers exist, everyone in the public and the Egyptian Radio and Television Union involved in this story is an absolute, A+ moron.
