The production company “Good News Group” signed a contract with the Jordanian actor Eyad Nasar to play the role of “Hasan Al-Bana” in the new television drama series “Al Jama’ah” (The Group). Nasar was nominated for the role since he resembles Al-Bana.
According to the London daily Elaph, Nasar stared in the political television series “Al Ijtyah” (The Invasion) that won an American Emmy Award in 2008. He played the role of a Palestinian resistance fighter during the massacre that took place in the West Bank city of Jenin.
Nasar has started in various historical drama series and two films.
“Al Jama’ah” is the first series produced by “Good News Group.” The series was written by Wahid Hamed and directed by Adel Adeeb.
The series stars a number of Egyptian and Arab actors and the production company is working on making it one of the biggest drama productions in the Arab World.
