After a 14-year sabbatical the Lebanese renowned singer Fairouz will head in the middle of next month to Paris to perform two concerts at Sal Playbel in the French capital on June 27 and 28, according to the London based Arabic daily al Sharq al Awsat.

In preparation for this occasion Fairouz lunched a rehearsal workshop along with her singing team and selected a variety program combining between the old and new.

This program will be different from the concert programs she has recently performed in Las Vegas, Switzerland, Dubai and even in Beitiddin in Lebanon. This is despite the fact that Beitiddin festival through which Fairuoz will appear before the Lebanese audience will be distinguished this summer with the presence of her son Ziad al Rahabani who will be mainly interested in the festival’s program as far as the cadences distribution and playing are concerned.

Fairouz will return to Paris after 14 years of absence since she last sang at a palace in Paris. She will arrive in the French capital on June 23 along with her coral synchronously with the arrival of Maestro Karen who used to lead her troupe. Also Armenian musicians from Fullharmony Troupe will arrive in Paris too -- Albawaba.com
