In an attempt to settle differences and apologize, Egyptian belly dancer Fifi Abdo announced that she never intended to hurt or insult Egyptian actress Shireen Seif Nasr in the remarks she made publicly on the television program “For Those Who Dare Only” on the Lebanese Broadcasting Company (LBC).
Fifi apologized to Shireen on the program “Al Bait Baitak” on Egyptian television, and revealed that she was answering questions spontaneously while on “For Those Who Dare Only” and the fact that journalist Abdul Fatah was there made her lose her temper and not carefully think of what she was saying.
According to the London based Elaph, Fifi added that she holds great respect for Shireen and the remarks she had made were regarding Shireen’s ex-husband, Midhat Saleh, and were not an attack on her.
Previously, Shireen has filed a lawsuit against Fifi, after the latter had publicly insulted her on the program. Fifi had said that Shireen was a gold digger and wanted to return to her ex-husband Egyptian singer/actor Midhat Saleh to take his money.
Shireen expressed that she was in shock for such statements made by Fifi and stressed that she will not let the matter pass by without prosecuting her since it is not the first time she is insulted publicly by the dancer. Shireen revealed that her relationship with Fifi practically has no existence and has never insulted her on any occasion, which makes her wonder why Fifi insists on making unnecessary hurtful remarks.
The actress added that the idea of returning to her ex-husband does not cross her mind, because she considers the matter a phase of her life that ended. Shireen noted that at the current time the only thing that matters to her is her acting career.
