Egyptian dancer and infamous diva Fifi Abdou is grandmother to another baby.
Abdou’s daughter Hanady gave birth to baby Jalila. Hanady herself married in 2014.
“Thank God and congratulations to my daughter Hanady and her husband Shady," said Abdou, announcing the birth in a Facebook post. "I have been blessed with a granddaughter, Jalila. I hope to God to see her a bride someday. Say amen!”
Abdou herself has been a bride five times. Hanady is her daughter with her fifth husband, a Palestinian businessman.
Fifi Abdou was a hugely popular belly-dancer in Egypt; her name is synonymous with the art, making her an early sex symbol.. She retired from dancing in 2004.
Her other granddaughter is now a high-schooler. Time really does not stop for anyone.
