Taking place in the northwest Polish city Szczecin, the International Tenors Tournament is a competition for singers judged by the audience and opera aficionados.

Egyptian tenor Ragaa Eldin won one of the main awards during the 19th International Tenors Tournament which took place on 22 June in a Summer Theatre located at the historic castle in Poland's northwest city Szczecin.

Chosen from among eight international tenors from around the world, Egyptian singer Ragaa El Din won an award from the Association of Opera and Operetta Enthusiasts in Szczecin.

Held since 1994, the tournament gives voices to the audience and opera aficionados and enthusiasts to cast their votes.

The audience attending the performance gives one rose to their tenor. This year's audience award went to the Russian tenor who received 835 roses.

Ukrainian tenor Mykhailo Malafii received the Orchestra Award.

Currently based in France where he continues his education and performing, Ragaa Eldin is one of the most succesful Egyptian tenors of his generation.
