Algerian singer Fula has filed a lawsuit against the Music Production Company Rotana after the company cancelled her contract, demanding that she receives all her legal rights. Fula had sent a warning to the company requesting they abide by the terms of their contract, but the company had refused.
According to the London based Elaph, it was revealed that Rotana had warned Fula to stop bad-mouthing the company publicly and asked to reduce the wage she was receiving or else it will cancel the contract. Fula refused to accept Rotana’s conditions and in turn filed a complaint against the company.
Fula is currently negotiating an offer by another production company, which she refuses to reveal its identity. The singer is also in the process of preparing for her upcoming album, which will be released by the new company.
Fula denied circulating rumors about her being married to Lebanese Christian man after he converted to Islam. Fula declared that all this news is mere rumors, and hold no truth to it. She added that the media should call celebrities to make sure about the news they put in their publications, before publishing due to the fact that spreading such false news will harm their credibility.
Fula is in Beirut these days because she is holding a concert in Alkadiri Alkabeer Hotel in the city of Zahleh, and will remain in Lebanon until New Year’s Eve. The singer revealed that during the beginning of the New Year, she will start recording her new music album, which will only contain songs in the gulf (Khaligi) accent.
Fula's latest music video for the song “Keef Ajazeek” (How do I Make You Pay?) was directed by Jordanian director Hussein Du’aibis. In the song, the singer reveals some of her most shocking secrets, and shows the world the pain she went through in her life’s journey.
The singer had decided that through a music video she is able to send out her message of the how difficult she had it since the beginning of her career. The clip walks the viewers through different instances of the singers life revealing different secrets that have been kept locked up for some time. –Albawaba.com
