Winter is finally here this summer, and Dubai wants in on the fun.
Dubai Festival City will bring the power of “water, fire and light” to celebrate the return of the hit HBO show through what they promise to be a “magnificent” display.

Game of Thrones is HBO’s most popular show, and one of the biggest on television. Based off of A Song of Ice and Fire by American author George RR Martin and named after the first book in the series, Game of Thrones is about the political struggles of a unified (or not so unified) realm, and took popular culture by storm in 2010. It starred (emphasis on starred) Sean Bean, Mark Addy, Emilia Clarke, Michelle Fairley, Iain Glen, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Kit Harrington, Alfie Allen, Isaac Hempstead Wright, and Kristian Nairn. Its seventh season debuted Sunday evening (US time) to ecstatic reviews.
The Arab world's enthusiasm towards the show is irrelevant to the ongoing Qatar crisis.
