It's not unusual to hear of a dramatic death of a much-loved character in HBO's smash hit Game of Thrones.
But as the number of episodes left in the series starts to dwindle, so do the number of characters left standing according to the Vice President of Drama at the network.
At an INTV conference in Jerusalem on Tuesday, HBO's Francesca Orsi gave a suggestion that may cause worldwide fan upset - characters that survived until the last season will die 'one by one'.
Francessca detailed how emotional the cast became during a 'powerful' table read, which none of the cast had read before.
She said: 'None of the cast had received the scripts prior, and one by one they started to fall down to their deaths.'
With each character dropping down, the cast were reportedly in tears trying to get through the last of the script, before a rapturous applause closed out the table read.
Francesca continued: 'By the end, the last few words on the final script, the tears just started falling down. Then there was applause that lasted 15 minutes.'

During the TV conference. HBO execs also explained their plans post-Game Of Thrones, which includes a number of spin offs which will most likely get the same eye-watering budget the original show received in its first few seasons.
Orsi told the panel that the network is planning 'three, four, five spinoffs' to continue the meteoric success of the original show, which would mark the first time HBO will revisit a show once it's over.
She added: 'it feels like corporate malfeasance to not continue it. $50 million (per season) would never fly for what we are trying to do. We are going big.'
As expected, secrecy has been airtight for the filming of the final season of Game of Thrones. A few details have slipped out, however.
Arya Stark actress Maisie Williams recently revealed that she’s been training extensively in sword fighting and stunt combat, sparking speculation that she could play a pivotal role in a major battle.
New photos have also been revealed of Jon Snow in King’s Landing meeting with Cersei, leading to much speculation as to what the scene could entail.
Perhaps most notably, recent footage has shown House Stark’s bastion of Winterfell beset by a conflagration.
