More fame more problems, we say! And that's been true in the case of Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razek. For the past few years, as her popularity increased, it was (and still is) impossible to hear the name Ghada without having it followed by the words scandal/problem/argument.
And Ghada is incapable of resolving her own issues alone: a third party has always got to intervene!
According to the ME news portal Elaph, one of Ghada's most infamous wars was with Lebanese superstar Haifa Wehbe. The two starred in the 2009 movie “Dokkan Shehata” (Shehata's Minimart), but weren't such good buddies at the time.
It was said that their rows were SO bad – name-calling and all that – that they didn't speak to one another for over three years. Wow!
But it was Ghada's hubby, journalist Mohammad Fouda, and Haifa's ex-hubby Ahmad Abu Hashima who saved the day. Miss Haifa and Ghada are now friends – that's code for frenemies!
Claiming second place on Ghada's 'celeb wars list' is fellow Egyptian actress Somaya El Khashab. The two stopped talking after a huge row. But thanks to their mutual friends, the air was cleared and Ghada has been careful to speak nicely of Somaya during press interviews ever since.
But it was when the 25 January 2011 Egyptian Revolution kicked off that a dispute between Ghada and director Khaled Youssef took off as well. The two's political views were in complete opposites: Ghada wanted ousted President Mubarak to remain in power, while Khaled didn't. All was resolved and they're now working on a proposed joint project in the near future.
But Ghada's biggest fight yet was with director Mohammad Sami of her last Ramadan series “Hekayet Hayat” (Hayat's Story). Ghada accused Mohamad of taking drugs while on set and of verbally assaulting her in front of cast and crew members. Sami in turn accused her of attempted murder!
Following much backstabbing, court sessions and public drama, the two made up. Again, thanks to colleagues interfering.
Who will be Ghada's next victim?
