Egyptian actress Ghada Abd Al Razik denied allegations that she had screened her latest film “Riklam” on January 25, which is the first anniversary of the Egyptian Revolution that overthrew the government of ousted President Husni Mubarak, to defy revolutionaries. Ghada stressed that she never announced January 25 to screen her film, but rather had said it will be launched by the end of January.
Ghada expressed her disappointment with numerous internet websites that made false accusations against her trying to ruin her image. Ghada was shocked with reports questioning her desire to defy revolutionaries by celebrating screening her film instead of going down to Egypt’s famous Tahrir Square to celebrate with people the success of the revolution.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Ghada called on those creating lies about her to let her be and stressed that she was never against the revolutionaries or the revolution. She added her only opposition during the revolution was the chaos that hit the streets of Egypt.
