Rebecca Romijn obviously doesn't watch The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills - otherwise she would have known you don't talk about Yolanda Hadid's kids.

Yolanda slammed her fellow former model after Rebecca appeared to suggest that 'social media stars' such as Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner were 'not true supermodels'.

On Friday Yolanda fired back on Twitter, claiming the girls were 'Kind, hard working and they accomplished more at half your age in the fashion industry'.

After being asked on Entertainment Tonight what she thought of models such as Kendall and Gigi who are 'more famous for their social media presence than their runway experience,' Romijn said it was 'very frustrating' and that a lot of fashion insiders 'can't stand it'.

In the ET interview on Tuesday, Rebecca said: 'Hate it that these, you know, social media stars are now the supermodels in fashion. They are not true supermodels.

'I have been disappointed that fashion magazines have been supporting this trend of social media stars to set our style standards.'

But after seeing the headline, the 43-year-old immediately backpedaled and attempted to offer a preemptive olive branch.'hey @kendalljenner @gigihadid don't believe the #clickbait. Never talked smack about you. Both amazing & beautiful,' she tweeted.  But it wasn't enough to quell Yolanda, who was already getting embroiled in further arguments with Twitter followers.

One follower told the RHOBH star to read Rebecca's clarification before throwing shade, but she replied: 'did you even bother to see what she said on entertainment tonight? No need 2 throw shade on hard-working children.'

Another suggested Rebecca had a point, in that the girls had only made it to their level with a leg up from their famous families, but again Yolanda shot back: 'It's THEIR hard work and daily commitment to their profession that got them where they R today #NoParentsInvolved'.

Nevertheless, Rebecca was tickled that she had 'popped her Twitter beef cherry'. 'Woohoo! Twitter beef cherry popped!' she tweeted, 'hearting' both Yolanda and Bravo stirrer extraordinaire Andy Cohen.
