Zayn Malik is designing a necklace for Gigi Hadid.
The 'Pillow Talk' singer has made enquiries with Beverly Hills based jewellers Robert Procop - who have created bespoke pieces for the likes of Angelina Jolie - because he wants to design a unique trinket to present as a gift to his 20-year-old girlfriend.
A source revealed: "They are besotted with each other and Zayn wants Gigi to have something he's designed."
Despite Robert Procop specialising in diamond pieces, Zayn, 22, isn't ready to purchase a sparkling ring for the blonde stunner and settled on a necklace which he plans to replicate for himself.
The source added to the Daily Star newspaper: "They're not ready for rings and he is always wanting to do it differently so Zayn decided on a necklace. The idea is he will get a matching piece for himself."
Meanwhile, the former One Direction heatthrob recently confessed that he wrote his second solo offering, 'It's You', about his ex-fiance Perrie Edwards, who he reportedly dumped via text in August.
And yesterday, he released a black and white video for the track which features a blonde Perrie lookalike, the 'Transformer: Age OF Extinction' actress Nicola Peltz.
And Nicola revealed she got Gigi's blessing first before appearing in the video.
She said: "I was excited to meet Zayn. I've never met him before and I'm really close with his girlfriend, Gigi. I called her when I got the offer and she was like, 'Oh my god.'
"She really wanted me to do it. I mean, I love her so much and I'm really close with her, but yeah, she was excited for me. She's the best."
