Rumor has it that the Arab music world's silverfox, Iraqi superstar Kazem el Saher, has been offered an honorary Qatari passport by Qatar's former ruler Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
In order to become a Qatari passport holder, Kazem would have to give up his Canadian passport.
While some sources claim that the Canadian and Iraqi passport-holder sincerely thanked Qatar for their generous offer, he had to reject it, quoting that "I can freely access every country in the world without needing to apply for a visa, using my Canadian passport," others report that Qatar have made Kazem their exception by allowing him to keep his Canadian passport.
Kazem and his press office are yet to comment on the matter.
