We are a few days away from Saad Lamjarred's new release titled "Casablanca" that he started promoting a few days ago on his Instagram profile. Yet, once he revealed the name of the new release questions started to rain.
Even before the song's release and right after the single's artwork was revealed, many comments accused the Moroccan sensation of imitating Moroccan singer Numan Al Hillo, that has already released a song under the name especially that he is known for singing for Moroccan cities with many songs of his having names of Moroccan cities such as "Tenja", "Marrakesh " and other songs that Numan is known for. Yet, the song most probably would have nothing to do with what Numan released earlier especially that shooting for Lamjarred's song video took place on the beaches of Casablanca in an atmosphere that most probably suits its mood.
It also seems like Saad decided to raise controversy not only with the song title but also in the choice of the model who is appearing with him in the song video. As Algerian Sara Ekram who is also known as Myriam Fares's look alike appears next to him in the song's poster that he posted to his Instagram account. The model is taking part in the twelfth season of Star Academy yet it is the first time that she appears as a model in a music video for an Arab singer's song.
In another story, the final saying in the rape case that Lamjarred is accused of by French Laura Prioul is due soon and many expect that the verdict will be positive for Saad.
