ALBAWABA - iDubbbz confirmed on a stream that Ethan Klein has filed a defamation lawsuit against him, but that he plans to fight back.
In a stream on June 9, 2026, Ian ‘iDubbbz’ Jomha said, “It is official. I am being sued by Ethan Klein in the courts of Calgary, Alberta, for defamation. I do plan on fighting against this, but for now, it is in the hands of the courts and our attorneys.” Klein, who said that he had Canadian lawyers approach iDubbbz for “implying, making the silly, silly joke that I molest my children.”
It started when streamer Destiny allegedly said in a stream that “ethan from h3h3 is likely a pedophile who has molested his own children.”
A month later, iDubbbz in a stream, in a CGI dragon form, highlighted the comment saying in his dragon alter ego: “this seems like something someone might want to address. I will say as a dragon, as a woke dragon, I do not like this Destiny character. But I also do not like the pedo troll character,”
Later he walked back his comments saying: “I think one of the things that woke me up a little bit, is like ‘okay wait a minute, I need to step back,’ is the Destiny thing about Ethan and his kids. I stepped too far out with this one.
“I’m sorry to Ethan and Ethan’s family for putting that nasty Destiny comment out there. I felt like it was an okay thing to do based on the point I was making, but gross sh*t shouldn’t be spread like that.”
Ethan commented afterwards: “I took into my service some fine Canadian lawyers … some fine Canadian defamation lawyers that sent a letter to Anisa and Ian, demanding a retraction and a halting of the defamatory statements that I molest my children,” A month later, Ethan hit iDubbbz with a defamation lawsuit.
iDubbbz who seemed ambivalent said: “I will say that it worries me what it means for the commentary community, and especially the Canadian commentary community,” he said. “All I can say, at least for now, I’m sorry the stream is so short.”
