Finally, the baby that launched Haifa Wehbe's career as a grandmother is upon us. A newborn baby with a famous granny has come to the celebrity watch's attention. Photos of a baby girl, reported to be Lebanese superstar Haifa Wehbe's granddaughter, have surfaced on Arab ladies weekly, Sayidaty's online version.
Mother Zainab, says the mag, is at her Kuwait home resting with husband by her side, after delivering their first born. This bundle of joy officially makes a grandmother out of the singer - who has prematurely been touted as 'granny' ever since the pregnancy was announced.
While 'Teta' Haifa has received an awful lot of media attention - not always of the positive variety - recently over her Twitter-divorce declaration, daughter Zainab could not avoid the subject on everyone's mind. She admitted her own surprise to learn of her mother’s split with her step-father, Egyptian businessman Ahmad Abu Hashima. She half didn't believe it at first and was tempted to dismiss it as rumor.(Of which there are many about her uber celeb-Mom). She candidly added that she was none too happy over the news and that she was always mildly concerned over her mother's latest affairs.
The honest talking daughter rounded up her interview by saying that her mother remained in her thoughts at all times, though the two were estranged by distance.
With the birth of Zainab's baby girl, her yummy mummy ascends to 'Hajeh' Haifa - a title reserved for the elder members of the Muslim community.
