Over the course of this Thanksgiving weekend, Hailee Steinfeld has a lot of love to be thankful for. The singer-actress and her partner, Josh Allen, who plays quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, announced their engagement on November 22 in a heartfelt message on Instagram on Friday.
Steinfeld and Allen simultaneously shared a snapshot of the proposal on Instagram. The photo shows Allen getting down on one knee while Steinfeld leans down to give him a kiss. A stunning floral backdrop encircles the couple in the photograph, while the sun sets over the water in the background.
People first speculated that Steinfeld and Allen were dating in May 2023 after seeing them out and about in New York City. During that month, individuals confirmed that they were in a loving relationship.
Allen made a guest appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast in August 2023, and he made a jest about the headlines that were associated with a recent vacation that the couple had spent together. This occurred despite their infrequent public discussions about their relationship. He said, "It continues to amaze me that anyone cares about that."
During the summer of 2017, Allen made things "official" on Instagram by posting a photo of himself and Steinfeld in Paris, in which the two of them were posing with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
